Network Check

Privacy

Network Check is a free tool. This page says what it does with your information.

What the check does

When you press Check now, our server connects back to the internet address your request came from and tries a short list of common ports to see which answer. It only ever checks the address you are visiting from. It cannot be pointed at any other address.

What we keep

  • Your internet address is held in the server's memory for up to an hour so we can limit how often one connection can run the check. It is not written to a database.
  • We do not save your results or build a profile of you.
  • Our web server and hosting provider may keep ordinary technical logs, such as the address and time of a visit, for security and troubleshooting.
  • The fonts on this site are served from this site, not from a font company.

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, including ads based on your earlier visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required, we ask for your choice about ad cookies.

Limits of the check

The check only shows what is reachable from the internet at the moment you run it. It cannot see inside your home, your phones, TVs or computers, or whether they are up to date.
